A few months before we decided to sell our home, we said goodbye to our 14-year-old rescue dog. Just four months later, we lost our second rescue at 11. A few weeks after that, we sold our home. It was a season of tremendous change and loss. We expected a quick move and a fresh start. Instead, the housing market changed almost overnight — prices climbed faster than we could keep up, and what should have been a short transition became a much longer journey than we ever imagined. Around that same time, store shelves became unpredictably bare. It made me wonder: how did people care for themselves before grocery stores and pharmacies were even an option? That question led me down a path of discovering herbs, traditional remedies, infused oils, and the plants people had relied on for generations. What began as curiosity soon became a passion. Countless hours of reading, learning, experimenting, and refining slowly turned into recipes — and those recipes became the foundation of Dazy Lane Botanicals. Today, every product is handcrafted in small batches, with thoughtfully selected ingredients and a deep respect for nature. While Dazy Lane Botanicals was taking root, another part of our family was still missing. For the next three years, we searched for our next home — and lived without a dog for the first time in many years. When the time was finally right, we rescued Duffy Moon Pickles. Today, Duffy proudly serves as our self-appointed Canine Executive Officer, representing Dazy Lane Botanicals across TikTok and Instagram. Whether he's "inspecting" products, announcing orders, or supervising quality control, he reminds us to celebrate every milestone with gratitude — and not to take ourselves too seriously along the way. The name Dazy Lane Botanicals represents more than a business. It represents a dream: one day, a small farm where we can grow many of the flowers and medicinal herbs that first inspired this journey.
